Concept proposal

For the Villa
Media Team

This is a working prototype, not a finished product and not an official Aston Villa property. Everything you can click is real software; everything you can read — names, speeds, dates, prizes and artwork — is placeholder content, deliberately marked as such. It exists so the idea can be judged as an experience rather than a deck.

No real player is named, pictured or attributed a speed. The crest, shirt, medal and merchandise images are indicative artwork created for this concept. Nothing is published or promoted anywhere.

What the campaign is

  • A free-to-play fan engagement campaign built around a world record attempt: fastest shot from the penalty spot, one men's attempt and one women's attempt.
  • A weekly rhythm in the run-in — two squad players go head-to-head on the radar, fans predict the winner and the speed.
  • A community tour where supporters take the identical shot from the same spot, with their own leaderboard and a fastest-fan slot in the reveal.
  • A single filmed reveal moment where the champion speeds and the record verdict are unlocked together.

What the club would supply

  • Squad access for a small number of radar sessions, men's and women's.
  • One filming window for the reveal content.
  • Radar and pitch access, plus the community venues the club wants covered.
  • Club channels for launch and weekly beats, and sign-off on all branding.

What it delivers back

  • First-party opt-in fan data with explicit marketing consent, captured at entry.
  • A weekly content beat for club channels through the run-in, with a built-in reveal payoff.
  • Clearly-defined commercial inventory: headline, community, event and prize partner tiers.
  • A community touchpoint that gives supporters a measurable moment, not just a giveaway.

Still to be confirmed

  • Squads, fixtures, player likeness and image rights — all line-ups here are placeholders.
  • The record body, verification requirements and any standing mark to beat.
  • Attempt and reveal dates, venue and format.
  • Prize specification, competition terms and eligibility.
  • Sending domain and data controller arrangements for confirmation emails.
  • Use of the club crest and any official artwork — every image here is indicative only.

Anything here can change — colours, mechanics, prizes, tone and scale.

The build is configuration-driven, so squads, dates, venues, prize wording and partner tiers are settings rather than rebuilds.
