Terms & Eligibility

The Aston Villa PowerShot Challenge is a family-friendly fan experience. Competition eligibility, prize conditions and any age requirements are subject to the final competition terms, which will be confirmed and published before launch.

The community and schools programme is run separately from any future commercial partner mechanics, which may carry their own eligibility restrictions. Employees of the promoter, Aston Villa, campaign partners and their immediate families or agencies may not enter prize competitions.

The challenge is free to play. No purchase is necessary and no payment is required at any stage. Standard network charges may apply to access the site.

Each week one men’s duel and one women’s duel are published. For each duel you may submit one entry: select the player you believe will record the fastest shot and set a predicted speed. You may enter one or both competitions. One entry per competition per person per week; duplicate entries are void.

• There is no points system and no leaderboard. Each entry either picks the winning player or it does not.
• Entrants who correctly predict the winning player are entered in that week’s draw. The winner in each competition receives a shirt signed by the two players who dueled in that competition that week. One prediction per competition per week.
• Among those correct entrants, the closest speed prediction to the verified radar speed wins the Closest-Speed Prize: a shirt signed by the whole Villa men’s first team (men’s competition) or the whole Villa women’s team (women’s competition), a selection of Aston Villa club merchandise and a specially struck limited edition Aston Villa club medal. If two or more eligible entries share the same closest speed, the earliest valid submitted entry wins.
• Every valid prediction receives the stated participation reward.
• Each week is self-contained: weekly winner rewards and the Closest Shot prize do not carry over.

Speeds are measured by the official PowerShot radar. The recorded measurement is final.

Weekly winners are announced on the reveal page and by email, using first name and initial only. No ranked tables of entrants are published.

Prizes are as described on the prizes page. Prizes are non-transferable and there is no cash alternative. The promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Winners are notified by email within seven days of the relevant reveal and must respond within 14 days or the prize may be reallocated.

Automated entry, multiple accounts and any attempt to manipulate results will result in disqualification from all draws and prizes.

Personal data is handled in line with the privacy policy. Entry confirmations are service messages; marketing email requires separate optional consent.

The promoter may amend these terms or cancel the competition where necessary for reasons outside its reasonable control. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Villa.
